COERR Mae Sarieng Organized Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) focusing on Fire Extinguishing, and Fire Emergency Evacuation in Ban Mae La Oon and Ban Mae Lama Luang Temporary Shelters in Sob Moei District, Mae Hong Son Province, on February 17, 2022. There were 257 participants of 83 females and 174 males.
COERR Mae Sot Organized Training on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) to Emergency Response members (ER) and Youth Leaders, with an aim that they would share the learning to other community members in Ban Mae La Temporary Shelter, Tha Song Yang District, Tak Province, during February 21-23, 2022. 92 participants attended the DRR training, comprising of 50 ER members of 2 females and 48 males; and 42 male youth leaders.
The Awareness-raising and campaign activities on DRR was organized by COERR Mae Sot at Ban Umpiem Temporary Shelter in Tak Province’s Phop Phra District, on February 15 and 23, 2022. The activities consisted of water bags and sand bags distribution to the needy household to hang on the wall or around their houses for fire stopping before spreading. In addition, fire warning sign-board was put up in public places. There were 700 people participating in these activities.
In Ban Nupo Temporary Shelter, Tak Provinces’ Umphang District, COERR supported community fire- break construction and campaign to prevent dry season fire.
COERR Kanchanaburi supported fire break construction activities in Ban Tham Hin Temporary Shelter in Suan Phueng District, Ratchaburi Province, on January 29 and February 5, 2022, in which 450 people of 220 females and 230 males participated.
In Ban Don Yang Temporary Shelter, Sangkhlaburi Subdistrict, Kanchanaburi Province, COERR provided fire extinguishers and various tools and equipment to the Mini Fire Station.
